In this context, "generation" refers to the length of His days and the continuation of His existence. The question is a divine challenge: How could death ever hold a man like this? The answer is the Resurrection. Christ rose into immortality, declaring, "I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore" (Revelation 1:18). He broke the cycle of death, but He did not stop there. He decided to continue His life on earth through you.
Every person who is born again is not just a "believer"; you are a continuation of Christ’s life. This changes everything about how you view your life and your work. Many people in this modern world are paralyzed by the fear of starting something new. They think they have a "humble beginning," but the truth is, there is no such thing as a humble beginning when you are a God-like seed. Christ is the Beginning (the Alpha), and you are His continuation (the manifestation of His life).
You are not starting from scratch; you are starting from the finished work of the Cross. Christ already handled the "hard" part. He took the judgment and the prison sentence so that you could walk in the freedom of His eternal life. Because He is the Alpha and the Omega, the end of your matter is already guaranteed to be better than the beginning. You are not just a person trying to succeed; you are the living, breathing continuation of the King of Kings. Glory to God!
